Homecoming

Poet Sándor Weöres was born 100 years ago. For this occasion, the actors of Szigligeti Company have tried to grasp a few traits of his poetry in a playful, improvisative way, in the play titled Homecoming: from diversity, absurdity, music and rhythm, on the way to harmony, to present his poems about journeys, love, death, and the search for a home and for ourselves. In the caleidoscope-like poem-game that results from this, they will try to follow the poet's guidance, that says “a good poem is alive, just like an apple (…) One or a thousand senses stem from it whenever and wherever it is watched, touched and tasted.”
