We get a glimpse of a fishing village with its storm of conflicts, family, legal and love feuds, all caricatured as the cartoons of our times, keeping, of course, the careful elaboration of the relationships, the subtle psychological details. The innocent frictions at first turn into an inextricable brawl that results in Goldoni’s masterpiece with honest and specific humour, with southern temperament, talking about the desire of belonging somewhere.
