The play is about a director's desire, who, living in 2018, wishes to research his family tree, and a photograph that has been in his family's possession since almost 150 years.
On the picture, there is a 19th century actor playing an Arlequin. In his own time, his desire was to meet his offspring who will later, in 2018, think of him, remember his existence. The director creates a play titled 1880-2020 about this actor-ancestor. He decides to do this without any words...
