Heinrich von Kleist

The Schroffenstein Family

tragedy

Translated by::

Heinrich von Kleist's drama, rarely performed in Hungarian, is most often compared to Romeo and Juliet: two young lovers fall victim to the rivarly between two opposing families. The source of tension is an inheritance issue, the circumstances of which are not clear to either party. Who is in the right? For the first time in Oradea, the audience can experience Kleist’s drama, with the Junior-Prima prize winning Dániel D. Kovács as its director.
