musical play

Jolán Sárbogárdi cries a lot. Jolán Sárbogárdi cries a lot because of her nerves. Jolán Sárbogárdi dances on clouds of operetta in the ticket agency of a dirty rural train station, and gives her blood for freedom on the battlefields, if necessary. Jolán Sárbogárdi knows no compromise, especially in love. Jolán Sárbogárdi will sign her name a hundred times, if only the theatre world would notice her tearful performance...
In his poetry, Lajos Parti Nagy has perfected a playful view on language and the world, and uses this on the unnoticed dramatic situations of our everyday life in a way that is pure poetry, and still more real than reality.  “Party Nagy is a real magician of words. With him, every word has a body and a soul. This is a blessing and a curse for actors, because although there is a Somebody behind each word, it is not an easy task to impersonate them. The wordplays, expressions used by Parti Nagy often sound familiar. Literary quotes, slang words, curse words and clichés mix into such an aextraordinary blend that very clearly reflects the dramatic situation and athmosphere by which the situation on the stage can be, at the same time, credible and abstract” – director  stvánSzabó K. said about Parti Nagy's work Mausoleum, a play that he put on the stage in Oradea, in 2010.
