This extraordinary production has more than one goal: to commemorate Szigligeti, to draw attention to a great Hungarian life work, deeply underrepresented in contemporary theatres, to paint an impressive picture about the events, characters, esthetic and ethic principles of 19th century Hungarian intellect, and to create an entertaining show on contemporary theatrical language.
Fractions from Szigligeti's plays serve as a base for the show. Author of the frame story and connecting scenes is Attila  Béres. According to the story, Szigligeti knocks on the doors of various theatre directors with his plays. He enthusiasticaly presents his works, and through them, he always finds a way back into his own story, into a world defined by personalities such as Vörösmarty, Bajza, Petőfi, Déryné, Erkel and Liszt, Munkácsy and Benczúr, the era of fulfillment for Hungarian art, the meeting point of romanticism, national spirit and folklore.
