Rehearsals for The Happy Prince Have Started

Rehearsals have started for the next premiere of Lilliput Company. The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde will be put to the stage by director László Vadas. The premiere is scheduled for the 3rd of March.

The Happy Prince is probably one of the most beautiful and most emotional tales of all time. The meaning of self-sacrifice that comes from love is subject to research to this day. Some say it is not a “normal” human reaction, whereas according to others, it is the highest level of “empathy”. It is obviously pretty difficult to accept, it’s much easier to just watch from the outside, with an adequate level of emotion, because as an adult, it’s difficult to understand. That's because an adult thinks, ponders, counts, sometimes even forgetting instinctual and honest reactions. Adults forget that they were ever children. The moral message of the story is “normal” for children, but unsettling for grown-ups.
