Ballet With Folclore and Humour
There are many well-known names among the creators of Nagyvárad Ensemble's new performance, filled with folk humour, due to premiere on Friday. The ballet's director/choreographer is László Csaba, at his umpteenth directorial work with the ensemble. The play's scenographer and costume designer is Cristina Breteanu, also well-known by local audiences. The music is composed by Molnár Szabolcs, who has also worked with the dancers and the orchestra several times in the past. His last work in Nagyvárad was the music score of Rascal World. His helper, musical assistant Brugós Anikó is a long-time member of the ensemble, as a dancer and solo singer – she is responsible for the folk songs in the performance. Assistants of the choreographer were members of the ballet, Brugós Sándor-Csaba, Kerekes Dalma-Gabriella, and Rácz Lajos-Levente. Las but not least, Huszár Csongor-Krisztián has contributed by editing the electronic musical sequence at the end of the show, based on the character Kate from Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.
