Infinite Dance Festival Has Ended
The second edition of Infinite Dance Festival has ended with the performance Transcarpathia Invoked by Hungarian State Folk Ensemble. Between 26—30 October, we have hosted ten professional dance ensembles in Szigligeti Theatre, with amateur groups taking the stage before each performance. At the festival, besides dance shows, we have also had concerts, exhibitions, and also one very special performance art event.
The performance by M Studio Sf. Gheorghe was the opening act of the festival, followed the next day by Feledi Project, and Bucharest National Dance Centre, who performed either in Szigligeti Theatre, or Arcadia Theatre.
On 28 October, Nagyvárad Ensemble and Central Europe Dance Theatre performed their coproduction Stabat Mater, followed by András Lóránt Company's Monologues in Szigligeti Studio.
Also on the 28th, with help from Várad Cultural Magazine, we hosted a multiart performance in Darvas—La Roche House. The young authors of Oradea Live movement (Jock Evelin, Kemenes Henriette, Ozsváth Zsuzsa and Mihók Tamás), fashion designer Cristina Breteanu, visual artists Süt? Fanni and Csathó Töhötöm Csongor Károly, and dance artists Andreea Belu and Bogya Bonni improvised to the subject of momentum, movement, and dance, accompanied by pianist Dombi Dávid.
On 29 October, dance academies from all over the region took the stage. After an interactive dance history presentation by Hungarian Dance Academy, Unique Dance Studio opened the Gala of Academies, which featured the students of Bucharest University of Theatre and Film as well as those of Hungarian Dance Academy.
In closing of the festival, at 30 October, Pásztor Sándor, president of the Bihor County Council said in his speech that he will continue to support the theatre and its audience. General director Czvikker Katalin, and Dimény Levente, art director of Nagyvárad Ensemble and IDF also thanked everyone for participating.
