Nagyvárad Ensemble Presents New Show

Collisions by Nagyvárad Ensemble is a new step on the way that Levente Dimény, the company's art director and director of the performance still considers his own. Preserving elements of folk dance and combining them with the present demands of modern and contemporary dance, this special performance is created. It will premiere on 9 November, at 7 pm, in Szigligeti Studio.

The way this performance was born is also special: all its scenes are choreographed by different people. The nine choreographers are all well-known artists of folk and contemporary dance, but at the same time, they all strived to redefine themselves and create their own unique dance language, for the sake of the show.

The music is composed by Tibor Cári. It is not a pre-composed, “conserve” score, but rather one that came to be during the rehearsals, using folk melodies as a base for imporovisations, and in a way that is accessible for the larger public, but is still very contemporary.

Tickets for the premiere and the shows that will follow are already available at the bokking office of Szigligeti Theatre, as per new business hours, on workdays between 2—7 pm.
