Continuing the tradition started by our elders, we celebrate our superannuated collegues with a jubilar performance on the stage. This is how it has always been, and we hope it will stay this way in the theatre that has just recently regained its old splendor. 
It is an honour to me to have been entrusted, together with my friend György Nemlaha, to produce the jubilar celebration for one of the most famous actresses of our theatre, Erzsébet Halasi, at her 50th season on the stage. A jubilee can be celebrated in many ways, from an individual performance to a drama or an operetta. In this case, respecting the wishes of the celebrated actress, we have concieved this jubilee as an entertaining show best defined by two song from it, with titles that can be translated to “To Me, Theatre is Life” and “Happiness Is When the Audience Loves Me”. Yes, it is THEATRE, with all capital letters, that can not exist without an audience, that is the main theme of this show, a performance in which each scene, each song is about theatre, actor and actress, author and director, love and disappointment – life itself, only called theatre. Because as we already know from Shakespeare, all the world is a stage, and all men and women merely players.
Along with the performers, I wish Erzsike Halasi many more such jubilees, and our audience to have a really nice time.
